I've been doing a lot of thinking lately about this show, and what it means.  Some have said it feels like they've lost a family member.  I can certainly understand that.  Significant losses of any kind (home, job, pets, etc) trigger a natural grief response.  We've all been going through the stages, without realizing it.

DENIAL:  "I can't believe this happened!  CBS was really going to count all of our online and time-shifted numbers, and were going to have a 3rd season."

It's reality check time.  It's time we all take a step back, and remember the quote from the MST3K theme song:  "Just repeat to yourself it's just a show, and you should really just relax."  It's also time to quit shooting the messenger here.  In response to negative posts and personal attacks on Michael Hinman, we have to remember that he is on our side!  He just has a job to do, and fans attacking him for doing his job the right way are being counter-productive.  Once we start fighting amongst ourselves,

Whoa, stop the world, I want to get off.
